Round Robin

Jeff's schedule has changed
and it has really gotten me off my game.
It is wonderful that I get to see him more.
The side effect is that
I have less time to spend sewing and posting to my blog.

Today I realized that I never shared my completed
2010 Round Robin from The Quilt and Needle.

The ladies did a wonderful job on this one.
I just love it so much
& can't wait to get it quilted.
I can't thank them enough for this lovely top!

I am signed up for this year's Row Robin but haven't received a row to work on yet.

I also finished the Max and Wisker's top for Bee.
I say it is for Bee but I think that Sam he DBF is going to love this one.
He is a tall guy and this quilt finished at 100 inches long,
perfect for a 6+ foot boy to snuggle under.

Tutorial for this quilt can be found at the Moda Bake Shop
I am hoping to get this one off to the quilter next week.

It arrived

I had the nicest gift waiting for me when I got home from work. Thanks Kim I can't believe everything that you sent.
She even included the class notes that I started to read and know I will find extremely useful. I think I might have to make my way over to the thrift stores and look for some wool garmets.
Isn't this the cutest treat bag pattern?! I know I will not find time to make it this year but look out next year. Halloween is Bee's favorite holiday so maybe I don't have to wait until next year, she would find a use for one year round.

Dorian's Round Robin is finished and has arrived safely home. Now I get to post a picture to share. Dorian I hope you like it. This was my first Round Robin and it was so much fun. Stop by The Quilt and Needle Albums and see how everybody's are turning out. Sign ups for a Row Robin are happening now.
Mine still has at least 2 more borders so I don't expect it home anytime soon.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! I hope that all the Mothers out there have a wonderful day. I am going to get treated to a wonderful Home Cooked dinner from Bee. She is an amazing cook who has just been blossuming at culinary school. Bee is an amazing daughter. She bring so much love and joy into my life. Thanks Bee!

At The Quilt and Needle I am in a Round Robin group with 5 other ladies. This turn around I have been lucky enough to get to work on Milica's Medallion. She asked that we use the colors in the medallion, I had to break the rule a little bit to put the green stems on my flowers, but just couldn't put the flowers on without them. I felt that her quilt needed a little softening and I know that she loves sunflowers. So this applique border seem just right. Now I need to send it off to Dorian so she can add another border. I don't have any idea what mine is looking like since I have vowed to not look at it until it arrives home at the end of the year. Feel free to head over to The Quilt and Needle and look at how all the RRs are turning out. There are some amazing borders!
