Heart Struck Runner

Thanks Kim for another wonderful Design!
See Kim's Tutorial here
She made hers with Giddy and it turned out just adorable.
I had a Sent with Love charm pack and think it turned out cute too.
The border is made scrappy with the extra charms that I had left over.
I think it will make a wonderful Valentine's gift
For Bee's new "Nest"

No matter where we put it he finds it and cuddles up with it.

Word Up

This month's Charming Girls theme is
Word Up

Kelly has challenged us to come up with our word for the year.
Really everybody's choice for their word has been both insightful
and a bit overwhelming since they are all such wonderful words
with such thought and meaning behind them.

After much contemplating I have chosen my word
"Nest"

I know it might seem like a strange word.
When I was a young pregnant soon to be mom I kept being told that I was
"Nesting"
As I prepared my home for the arrive of the most blessed gift I would ever receive.

Through the years I have enjoyed watching Bee growing up.
With each milestone I aways thought of it as her
standing on the edge of the
"Nest"
flapping her wings and getting ready to leave the
"Nest"

This past Friday my Baby Girl moved into her first Own very full
"Nest,"
2 couples, 1 baby girl (the other couple's little girl), 1 large dog & 1 cat.
I am so proud of her and wish them all a warm and happy "Nest"
This has left me with an
"Empty Nest"

I am going to
"Nest"
once again and get my home ready for the next phase of my life.
Clean, Organize and prepare my home for its new family dynamic.

Stash Report - Week #2

I just love to visit all the weekly stash reports in bloggyland on Sunday mornings.  Judy at Patchwork Times is so kind to host it each week.  After being on a fabric binge last year I am going to try and behave myself better this year.  Reporting my stash might be just the thing to keep me in line.  Everybody has a little different way that they count their out fabric.  For me it will be a completed project.

Fabric in this week (and last since I am getting a late start) - 0
Fabric in YTD - 0

Fabric out this week (and last) - 0
Fabric out YTD - 0

Net Change - 0

101 Blog Post

I can't believe this is my 101 blog post!

This is the center for my Thimbleberries
Home & Garden BOM
This one is probably going to get alot of
attention since I am on a fabric diet for the month of January.
I don't really like my fabric choice as much
as I thought I would.
Visit the flickr group to see all the other blocks.

New Years

Happy New Year!

Jeff & I had the whole long weekend together
so I didn't find the time to post on my blog this past weekend.
I do have a few things to share tomorrow.

New Years Morning as I was watching the Rose Parade
I heard them talk about the float viewing.
Every year I hear them talk about it,
however this year I turned to Jeff and told him how fun I thought it would be to go.

The next day we drove the 2 hours up to the float viewing.
We are both so happy we made the trip
and just might do it again next year.

As they say each year during the parade,
TV doesn't do these floats justice.
My pictures also didn't do them justice.
I have posted all our pictures on my Flickr account.

This puppy was just adorable!

My favorite float was the Quikrete 3 little pigs.
It had so many cute and has all kinds of funny little touches.
This bird just made me smile holding onto her eggs
as the wolf blew the straw house down.

Jeff's favorite was this girly dragon serving tea.

I didn't make any new years resolutions.
Although I have made a commitment to my self.
No new fabric during the Month of January.
Lucky for me I have plenty of projects and fabric
to get me through more then this month.
