I have been looking at this quilt kit since it was on the coming soon page of The Fat Quarter Shop.  This week it went on sale.  I am not sure who I will make it for but it is just so cute.  I didn't notice when I purchased it that they had flannel for backing on sale also.  There should be another shipment arriving this week with backing fabric.

Look what the mailman dropped off from the Fat Quarter Shop.



A fat quarter bundle (2.5 yards) Smirk.  I am loving these fabrics for a little boy.  Aren't the video games and super hero prints are going to be so cute for some little boy as yet unknown.

Stash Report #33

Weekly stash reports only seem needed if there is something to report.  This week I have a little in & a little out.  I also dropped a quilt off at the quilter so I will have more to count once it gets back.

In .25 yard FQS Mystery BOM.  I am really loving the Strawberry fields fabrics that are being used on this one.  I even finished my Block.

Last week I didn't have anything to report so I just skipped my report.  This week I a few yards landed on my doorstep.





Hideway on sale.  I don't think I had enough for my Farmer's wife quilt.  These few yards should get me there.

Breakfast At Tiffany's on sale.  These will be perfect background and sashing for my Dresden Plates.

Stash Report Week #29

My shoulder was a little sore this week and poor Jeff got Food poisoning.  So this has been a slow sewing week.  Also a slow fabric purchasing week too.  Good news there.

.25 Fat Quarter Mystery BOM - they send well over .25 yards in the monthly shipments, likely closer to .5+ yards but I count BOMs as .25 in & .25 out.  I did get it made so I will show it here.  I am not sure what flower it is.  Maybe one of you have some idea.

Stash Report Week #28

I was on vacation from work all week.  Due to the weather I stayed home and in the AC all week long.  That means we didn't get to take the bikes out for a beach ride, I didn't finish getting our outdoor table top re-tiled, I didn't wax my car or work on cleaning up the vintage sewing machine. 
However I did find lots of time for sewing, watching the Tour de France, watching the Padres lose some baseball, saw the Space Shuttle take off for the last time, and go to the movies and see the new Transformers movie (no I didn't like it, but I didn't expect that I would.  Jeff however really enjoyed it and that is what really counted). 
That brings me to my stash report.  I have a finish again!

This report isn't as big as it could have been.  I am expecting a few more yards of Prince Charming from Fabric.com.  UPS had a shipping delay so it will be here next week.  I did purchase backing fabric for my Fat Quarter Mystery BOM 2009.   That fabric and top are at the quilter and should be back on July 1st.  I don't expect to have the binding done by my next report but that's ok.

It looks so good with my Neptune stash.

I have been working on some baby quilts but found I needed some additional fabric to go with the charm packs. 

2 yards of Cherish Nature for the baby quilt.

3 yards of Blush, it was on sale and didn't cost any additional shipping so why not?  I have a few charm packs it will work well with them.  I am thinking they will be good for a baby girl quilt.  I will just need to come up with a plan.

Happy Easter!

This was a big fabric purchasing week.

I think I need to take a few deep breaths before I start.
This feels more like a confessional then a report.

Sashing for my Raggedy & Friends BOM

This one is already cut up and ready

to be sewed onto the blocks as they get finished.

5 Yards backing fabric for Bee/Sam's Max And Whisker's quilt.

This is already pieced and ready to be shipped to the quilter.

2.875 Yards Sherbet Pips Jelly Roll.

This has no purpose, it is just really cute and was a good deal.

I am a sucker for good deal.

27 Yards of DS Quilt.

It took me a few trips to Joann's to acquire all the ones I wanted.

They were all purchased with 40 or 50% coupons.

The Greens & Blues are going to become a quilt for Bees & Sam's bed.

The reds & yellow have no purpose

There will be extra Blues & Greens that will join the no purpose party.

Stash Report Week #15

Fabric in this week.  These where all purchased in March and delivered this week.

15 yards - A bolt of Bella Solid Bleached white (The Fat Quarter Shop had a 20% off Bella Solids sale & when you buy the whole bolt you normally get 20% - I really needed some white fabric and with 40% how could I resist?)  I spent yesterday cutting up about half the bolt for 3 quilts I need to complete before a June baby is born

6 yards - Hideaway Yardage. (These deer are too cute!  Fabric.com had these fabrics on sale plus an additional 15% off coupon plus free shipping.  I have no plans for it,  I just love it so much.   Besides it will work really well with the Fat Quarter Bundle I purchased before)
