Fresh Squeezed Folded Finish

This one seems to pass the TJ inspector.
I really wanted to take this quilt down to the beach for a perfect picture.
The rain made that a crazy idea.
Better luck next time.
I am so happy to have the binding done on this one.
The pattern is this Moda Bakeshop Tutorial
I Love Love Love the fabrics of this quilt
I have a few more layer cakes of them that I am stashing
for the perfect project.

Bee's Rag Quilt

It is NASCAR season again!
While watching the Truck race last night I got all the Seams clipped
on Bee's Rag Quilt
I dropped it on the chair right from the dryer.
I don't have the heart to tell him that it isn't his.
That is a Minki Backing and so soft.
What a perfect use for the Tweet Layer Cake I found on Sale.

Joanns had rag quilt scissors on 50% off sale
then e-mailed me a 10% your whole purchase coupon.
They made the job so easy.

The best part - this is a wonderful excuse to get together with my DD!

Heart Struck Runner

Thanks Kim for another wonderful Design!
See Kim's Tutorial here
She made hers with Giddy and it turned out just adorable.
I had a Sent with Love charm pack and think it turned out cute too.
The border is made scrappy with the extra charms that I had left over.
I think it will make a wonderful Valentine's gift

Christmas Finishes

I hope that everybody a a wonderful Christmas Holiday.

I have 2 Christmas gift finishes that I can now post pictures of.
The first is my Moose on the Porch Jelly Roll Quilt Along.
This one has been sent to my Grandparents for Christmas.
I hope they enjoy this Happy Camper quilt when they
take trips with their RV group.

This Christmas quilt is now at its forever home with my parents.

Sorry for the poor pictures.
It was so rainy and yucky in San Diego I had to take them
inside the house without an assistant.

Shelle's Baby Quilt Done

I didn't have the best light.
It is much cuter in person than it looks in the picture.
Jeff's sister's baby is due any day, So I think
it got done just in time.
Once I have a name I will put a label on it and get it in the mail.

Grammie's Quilt

Here is another finish off my Christmas list.
The pattern is from The Schnibbles Take 2, and was made with Gypsy Rose layer cakes.
I just love how soft and lovely the colors are.
I hope she loves it.
It will keep her warm on those cold Colorado nights.

Gingerbread Joy

I am SO excited! Look at what came in the mail today! It is my completed Gingerbread Joy Quilt.
Janice did such a wonderful job quilting it. I just love all the little touches. She turned the boxes into packages and added holly leaves into the read triangles.

I'm Done!

I have finished my March 2010 Mystery Quilt from The Quilt and Needle. I choose to just stop with the medallion. This quilt was ment to be a twin bed size with a pillow tuck. I have no use for a twin bed sized quilt so I chose to turn it into a baby quilt. My friend's DD is having her first baby and if it is a girl this will be her baby quilt. I will know next month if this it the quilt or if I have to go back to the drawing board for a baby boy quilt.
Another finish! Whoo Hoo! This is another The Quilt and Needle Mystery quilt. Jess does an amazing job on her mystery designs. I am very sad that the next one will be the weekend of my sister's wedding so I will not be able to participate. It will be fun to see what everybody makes. This one was the 60x60 inch version with the Taxi Cab fabric kit that Jess but together. I just love it! This will likely be my snuggle on the couch quilt.
And yet another finish. I have been a very busy girl. This a purple & yellow quilt that I made for Jeff. It is his snuggle on the couch quilt. It is a pattern from the March/April 2010 issue of McCall's Quilting. It was all fabrics that I picked up from clearance bins.

Phew - It might be a little while before I have any additional finishes. I do have Hedwig's quilt done and will get it posted once it is all washed and crinkley with a white kitty dropping his hairs all over it.

My new purse

The ladies at The Quilt and Needle had a virtual Sewing Bee this Satuday. Most of us worked on purses or bag of some sort, but everybody was welcome to work on anything they wanted to. I have had this pattern & Me and My Sister Favorites Charm pack for a little while and was a little nervous about the zipper so this sewing bee was just want a needed push into making it. I am loving the way it looks! The flower still needs a button in the middle and the handles need their buttons then it will be complete. I made the handle twice as long as the pattern called for and it hangs just right for me. There was talk about a partner bag swap. That sounds like so much fun! These ladies are so creative and supportive, I feel blessed to have them as my quilting friends.

At work they have started a weekend rotation schedule so today was my first weekend work day in awhile. It was a little sad to give up my Sunday but I guess the extra quilting money will come in handy. I have a few quilt tops that are begging to be sent to the quilter and might just find their way there soon then I thought.
